I present some philosophical perspectives on minimalist languages with toki pona as an example, positing that their expressivity is supported by anti-realist theories of meaning and that they pose issues for Kripkensteinian solutions to the Rule-Following Paradox. I then dive into their pragmatics and touch on appliations to toki pona.
